Enforcement
Wisconsin Pedestrian and Bicycle Law Enforcement Training course WE BIKE has been hired by the Wisconsin Department of Transportation – Bureau of Transportation Safety (WisDOT-BOTS) to design the State's new Wisconsin Pedestrian and Bicycle Law Enforcement Training course. This two-day course will provide law enforcement officers with the training and information that they need to manage traffic for pedestrian and bicycle safety and enjoyment in their communities.
The new course will draw from many resources including the State’s own Enforcement for Bicycle Safety (EBS) course. EBS was originally conceived of and developed by WE BIKE in 1995 and has been updated several times since then. EBS has been taught nationally and was the basis of the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration's (NHTSA) Community Bicycle Safety for Law Enforcement course, also developed by WE BIKE.
WE BIKE is looking forward working with WisDOT-BOTS, the State’s law enforcement officers and advocates to improve the safety and enjoyment of walking and bicycling in Wisconsin. Updated - January 24, 2006 |
